About The Role

Are you ready to lead and inspire a team in a cutting‑edge facility that dispatches 300 pallets and 8,000 parcels daily to 25,000 customers across the UK and Ireland? Arco, the UK's leading integrated health and safety experts, are now recruiting for a Warehouse Team Leader to play a pivotal role at our National Distribution Centre in Hull.

The shift pattern for the role is rotational between 06:00 - 14:00 and 14:00 - 22:00, Monday to Friday, with no contractual weekend or bank holiday working.

Key responsibilities
  • Taking responsibility for the output of a specific team of up to 25 Operatives and for the quality of the work produced, including employee training and development
  • Owning all Health & Safety matters in your area of work
  • Owning management duties including team briefings, performance management, absence management, recruitment, retention and disciplinaries
  • Resource planning and utilisation including budgetary planning and control
  • Providing excellent customer service levels to internal and external customers
  • Providing cover and cooperation with all other departments and sectors of the NDC

Ideal Warehouse Team Leader
  • Strong working knowledge of warehouse processes and procedures including goods receipt (inbound)
  • A proven track record of managing teams successfully
  • Good written and verbal skills as well as good numerical skills
  • Manual handling experience
  • Experience of working to deadlines and a high level of attention to detail
  • Basic IT Skills
  • A strong understanding of Health & Safety within warehouses
