Job Description

We are looking for a Warehouse Team Leader to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and productivity. Key Responsibilities
  • Directing a team of operatives daily, dealing with problems as they arise and escalating when required.
  • Operate a Ride-on PPT / Pivot Steer to load and unload palletised goods from lorries, including placing pallets into racking systems.
  • Completing various checks in the warehouse, on individuals, on MHE and equipment.
  • Monitor picking operations within designated area to ensure safety and performance are maintained in-line with company expectations and targets
  • Completing any relevant paperwork in line with the warehouse processes to include reporting any defects. To liaise with the distribution office to ensure a smooth operation between the transport and warehouse departments.
  • Engage with warehouse operatives to encourage best practice and understand any issues which are preventing them from achieving optimal pick rate in-line with company targets.
  • Use warehouse systems and scanners to accurately receive, locate, pick, and dispatch goods whilst handling all goods with care and attention.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the warehouse and ensure the equipment is kept in good condition.
  • Daily handover at the end of each shift.
Requirements
  • A Pivot / Ride-on PPT licence is preferred but training may be provided.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to doing things right.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
