Warehouse Team Leader – Greengford, Greene King

Do you enjoy working as part of a team and are looking for a role that will truly contribute towards your development? Are you an experienced senior Warehouse Operative looking for your next step? Perhaps you’re already acting in a supervisory role but want a new challenge!

We’re looking for a Warehouse Team Leader, to be based at our Greene King site in Greenford. You’ll support the Shift Managers in managing the shift in an effective manner. You’ll ensure to satisfy the needs of the customer to the standard and timescales required in a multi-temperate operation.

This is a full-time, permanent position, working, any 5 from 7, Sunday to Friday covering the hours of 16:00 – 24:00. We do ask for some flexibility to get the beer delivered at busy times and bank holiday working is part of the shift pattern.

We’re looking to offer a salary of £34,052.85 per annum and 28 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:
  • Reporting any serious deviation from plan quickly and accurately to the Shift Manager
  • Ensure that Quality, Health, Safety and Environment standards are maintained, site rules and regulations are adhered to and that all accidents are reported immediately to the Shift Manager
  • To ensure that the areas of operational responsibility run in line with plans and are completed on schedule to the standards required by the company and the customer
  • Daily supervision of a team of operatives and agency staff in the department.
  • Comply with NSF/BRC standards
What you need to succeed at GXO:
  • Experience in leading a team within a fast-paced warehouse operation
  • FMCG / food/ Retail or similar background
  • Proven basic literacy and numeracy skills at Secondary school level
  • Knowledge of the legal requirements applicable to HACCP regulations
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to perform under pressure and use initiative
  • Team player and Customer focused
