Shift

4 On 3 Off - Sunday to Wednesday 06:00 - 18:00

Salary

Payment Rates Basic rate - for all contracted shifts worked £13.06 per hour.

Overtime - for extra shifts worked in addition to your contracted shifts£15.67 per hour.

Job Description

To load and despatch outbound Supermarket DC loads, consolidate products as required. Maintaining the flow of product in and out of the area as the day’s work dictates. This will be a chilled environment.

To carry out all tasks in a timely and efficient manner to ensure continuity of business for Fowler Welch and our customers.

Main Responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for managing a team or circa 20 Heads in a chilled environment.
• To ensure you load/unload product in line with the company's policies and procedures.
• To ensure the correct documentation is completed for all inbound and despatch loads.
• To remain vigilant in ensuring goods are picked and assembled accurately as per instructions.
• To ensure despatched loads are properly secured prior to leaving the loading bay.
• To reach and maintain the standards required to meet the Company's productivity targets.
• Ensure all practices and procedures are safely carried out in line with the company’s Health & Safety policy, SSOW’s and HACCP regulations, where appropriate, and to challenge colleagues who fail to adhere to any such rules or regulations.
• Ensure that company standards of hygiene and housekeeping are achieved and maintained.
• Ensure customer returns are received, recorded and notified to the appropriate Stock Controller.
• To assist colleagues when required and to behave in a harmonious, courteous manner at all times.
• This list is not exhaustive and the job holder may be required to undertake other duties commensurate with the position as required.

Qualifications

• FLT experience - minimum PPT experience is essential.
• Experience of working as a Warehouse Team Leader would be essential.
• Experience of working in a Food background and/or Chilled background.
• Team player who can also work on own initiative
• Able to manage own time to achieve daily targets efficiently and effectively
• Must be flexible in approach to work and shift patterns in order to cover for absence
• Ability to motivate teams
• Excellent investigative and problem-solving skills
• PC Literate in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
