Warehouse Team Leader at Cathay Group

Location: Crewe, United Kingdom

Salary: £13.50 per hour

Job Type: Full-time

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 07:00 – 16:00 (42.5 hours paid per week)

Contract: Temporary (12-week probation period)

Overview

3PL Resources are seeking an energetic and organised Warehouse Team Leader to join our operation in Crewe. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading a small team to success, ensuring all daily targets are met while maintaining a positive and safe working environment.

We are looking for a leader by example who can motivate staff, manage resources effectively, and champion our high standards for health, safety, and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, drive, and motivate your team to achieve known targets. You will manage both permanent staff and agency personnel, including daily roll calls and managing agency hours.
• Monitor hourly productivity (pickers, drivers, and rework) and address any performance gaps through coaching, mentoring, and documented training.
• Act as a champion for Health & Safety and loss prevention. Ensure 100% accuracy in stock and maintain excellent housekeeping standards.
• Conduct daily/weekly shift briefings to communicate objectives. You will also be responsible for professional handovers and liaising with internal and external stakeholders / clients via email.
• Demonstrate and present standard operating procedures (SOPs) to peers and management to ensure continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of warehouse experience.
• Proven experience as a Warehouse Team Leader or Supervisor.
• Previous warehouse administration experience, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Self-motivated, reliable, and able to meet the physical demands of a busy warehouse environment.
• Valid VNA, FLT, or PPT licences are a significant bonus.
