Position Summary

Are you an experienced Warehouse Team Leader looking for an exciting opportunity in a growing water treatment and reverse osmosis (RO) business? We are seeking a motivated and proactive individual to drive forward our warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency in stock management and seamless supply to different departments. Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Warehouse Team Leader will be responsible for the day‑to‑day operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient inventory handling, managing stock levels, and leading a high‑performing team. The ideal candidate will be process‑driven, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Supervision
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of warehouse personnel, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Delegate tasks effectively to balance workloads and meet deadlines.
  • Monitor team performance, provide feedback, and conduct performance reviews.
  • Identify training needs and support team development.
Warehouse Operations Management
  • Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, shipping, inventory control, and refurbishment storage.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standard operating procedures (SOPs), reviewing and improving processes regularly.
  • Monitor workflows and implement improvements to enhance efficiency.
Inventory Control & Accuracy
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts, stock takes, and reconciliations.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, working with other departments to identify root causes.
  • Implement stock control measures to minimise shortages, excess stock, and obsolescence.
Safety & Housekeeping
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct safety inspections and promote a safety‑first culture within the team.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of materials and equipment to prevent damage or accidents.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order accuracy, on‑time delivery, and inventory turnover.
  • Analyse data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present warehouse performance reports to management.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory or team leader role.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse management best practices, including inventory control and logistics.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP software (ideally Epicor).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklift) safely and efficiently.
  • Good knowledge of health and safety regulations in a warehouse environment.
