Overview

We are a battery company seeking a reliable and hands‑on Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations. This role includes managing staff, ensuring accurate inventory control, and safely handling heavy batteries using forklifts and pump trucks, with a strong focus on health and safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily warehouse activities including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching batteries.
• Lead, train, and support warehouse staff while promoting safe and efficient working practices.
• Safely handle and move heavy batteries using forklift trucks and pump trucks.
• Ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations, including proper manual handling, PPE use, and safe operation of equipment.
• Conduct regular safety checks, risk assessments, and toolbox talks when needed.
• Maintain accurate inventory through stock checks and proper documentation.
• Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with all operational and safety standards.
• Coordinate with logistics and sales teams to ensure timely order fulfilment.
• Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce operational risks.

Requirements

Previous warehouse or logistics supervision experience (battery or industrial products preferred).

Strong knowledge of health & safety procedures, especially manual handling and handling of hazardous goods.

Physically fit and able to safely lift and move heavy batteries.

Able to operate:

• Forklift truck (certification preferred)
• Pump truck / pallet truck

Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

Familiarity with warehouse management or inventory systems.

Attention to detail and a strong commitment to safe working practices.
