Job description

Brightwork are pleased to be recruiting a Warehouse Supervisor on behalf of our Whisky Client based between sites in Elgin and Forres on an ongoing, temporary basis.

Your Time at Work

• Leading and coordinating daily activities within the warehousing team including cask filling, disgorging, sampling and stock rotation.
• Supervision and mentoring of warehouse operatives, providing training and support where required.
• Accurately keeping records for cask movements in line with HMRC and company standards.
• Monitoring of cask conditions and warehouse environment.
• Promoting a culture of health and safety, ensuring all team members follow protocol, conducting risk assessments where required.
• Operating fork lift trucks, warehouse management systems and cask handling tools.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and practices including efficiency, safety and cask management.

Our Perfect Worker

Candidates will ideally have a minimum of 3 years' experience within a cask warehouse or distillery environment, with supervisory experience. A strong understanding of bonded warehouse regulations and HMRC is required alongside a fork lift truck license. Excellent organisational and communication skills are also required with experience of IT systems including Microsoft Office.

Key Information and Benefits

Hours for the role are Monday-Thursday 0800-1700. The role is initially on an ongoing, temporary basis, however there is the opportunity for it to become a permanent role for the right candidate.
