Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor
Location: Warrington (WA5)
Salary: £30,000
Shifts: Monday- Friday 08:00- 17:00hrs
Contract: Temp - Permanent
Responsibilities
- Carryout and monitor daily operations, including inventory management such as receiving in, putting away and despatching.
- Promote a positive work environment and motivate the team to achieve performance goals.
- Act as the point of contact between management and warehouse staff and, where needed, communicate operational updates and expectations.
- Control of performance reviews, discipline and return to work interviews following absence.
- Address and resolve any operational issues or employee concerns, escalating more significant issues to the Warehouse and Logistics Manager when necessary.
- Provide training to new employees and ongoing coaching to help improve skills and productivity.
- Assist with Inventory management, including conducting regular counts and maintain accurate records. Identify discrepancies and investigate to resolve any issues. Manage and conduct stock takes as required.
- Ensure compliance with all H&S policies and procedures and maintain a high standard of housekeeping at all times. Conduct and oversee daily checks as required.
- Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of all facilities, ensuring premises are secure at all times. Act as a keyholder with responsibility for locking up the site.
- Prepare and submit reports as directed by the Warehouse and Logistics Manager.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a Warehouse Supervisory or similar is essential.
- Must have a valid in date FLT counterbalance licence (RTITB accredited).
- Any First Aid/Fire Marshall certifications would be advantageous.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office.
Additional Information
As this is a new warehouse with collection facility, you would be required to attend the clients main site in Dudley for 2 weeks of training (Mon-Fri) and to learn about the products. Hotel accommodation would be provided, and an allowance for an evening meal during this time.
