Overview of the Job

A Band 4 Supply Chain Shift Manager position has become available to oversee our warehouse division at Denbigh Stores. The chosen candidate will have prior experience managing staff in a comparable role.

This position requires prior office and warehouse experience as well as knowledge of workplace health and safety.

To oversee a group of employees and their workload in the Denbigh-based Supply Chain, Logistics, and Transport Team.

Primary responsibilities of the position

Assisting the Warehouse Service Support Team in achieving the best possible performance for the Department by supervising the management of inventory kept in the warehouse utilizing the Oracle Warehouse Management System.

Make use of the Stores Movement Report to minimise obsolescence and increase stock throughput. To assist with different stakeholder meetings, provide frequent reports in Microsoft Word and Excel.

To oversee and manage the PPE inventory kept in the warehouse, including keeping an eye on stock levels, life expectancy, and ordering replacement stock from NDC to ensure supply continuity.

Managing annual leave, sick leave, and staff appraisals; holding one‑on‑one staff and team meetings; updating training materials; hiring and onboarding new staff; using the Electronic Staff Record System and Health Roster; and promoting a collaborative and change‑oriented culture.

The position holder must be able to operate in a fast‑paced setting, have demonstrated administrative and project support abilities, be dedicated to offering high‑quality support services, work with a high level of professionalism, and be able to manage a very diversified workload while meeting deadlines. Because they will be interacting with a variety of stakeholders, the position holder needs to have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.

Both Welsh and English speakers are invited to apply, though speaking Welsh is preferred for this position.
