Here at GXO, we are recruiting for a Warehouse Shift Manager (Nights) to join our team in Northampton, supporting our customer Sainsbury's, in our Frozen warehouse operation. You will be reporting into the Operations Manager and be responsible for managing and leading your own team helping to coach, motivate and engage them to create a great team culture with a strong work ethic.

This is a full time, permanent position, working any 5 days from 7, 22:00 till 06:00.

We're looking to offer a salary of £45,000.00 per annum + shift allowance of up to £4680 and 33 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays). What you'll do on a typical day:
  • Manage and lead the shift, striving to maximise productivity, quality, and efficiency across the Warehouse
  • Drive performance through effective monitoring of coaching and performance
  • Review all aspects of shift performance, identifying areas for improvement to ensure efficient and accurate process
  • Leading the team on shift proactively to motivate high performance, develop positive engagement and good communication across the operation
  • Management of the warehouse training requirement and function
What you need to succeed at GXO:
  • Proven experience in managing a large operational team in a fast-paced warehouse environment at a similar level
  • The ability to lead continuous improvement projects whilst demonstrating excellent planning skills
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on maintaining on-site engagement
  • Positive, people-oriented approach and readiness to tackle the challenges of the night shift
