Job summary

Booker is the UK's leading food and drink wholesaler, serving independent retailers and caterers from 190+ branches. We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to lead daily warehouse activities at our Hemel Hempstead site, ensuring efficient, cost-effective operations and excellent service.

You will manage receiving, storage, picking and dispatch, supervise staff, maintain health and safety, and drive continuous improvements.

Qualifications

Experience leading warehouse operations and managing teams.
Strong focus on health & safety and budget awareness.
Ability to plan and oversee daily shift operations.

Responsibilities

Support the site Warehouse Operations Manager in efficient, cost-effective management of all warehouse operations at the RSC.
Ensure the smooth running of daily warehouse operations and provide the required service to customers.
Oversee receiving, storing, picking and dispatch processes within budget and safety standards.
Manage warehouse output targets daily, periodically and annually through the team.
Contribute to plans to improve quality of operations and supervise warehouse activities.
Ensure compliance with internal systems, working hours, and health and safety.
Provide cover in absence of the Operations Manager and prioritise customer service.
Manage MHE breakdowns to minimise retailer impact.
