Job summary

JD Sports is seeking a Security Officer for our warehouse operations in Rochdale, United Kingdom. You will support the Supervisor to ensure a safe working environment and protect company property.

Responsibilities include patrolling, enforcing policies, ensuring proper check-in procedures, and coordinating with staff, contractors, and visitors. Prior security experience is desirable; basic IT skills are required.

Qualifications

• Experience of working to health and safety requirements.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to use standard software.
• Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.
• Ability to work well in a team and support colleagues.
• Responsive and proactive in fast-paced settings.
• Experience in security is desirable.
• Knowledge of detention powers is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Enforce and comply with all security policies.
• Patrol the site to prevent unauthorised access and protect company property.
• Follow health and safety guidelines at all times.
• Search staff in line with procedures.
• Be professional and courteous at all times.
• Perform other reasonable duties as required by the business.
• Ensure staff/contractors/visitors are checked in correctly.
• Record asset movements and vehicle check-ins/outs.
• Seal and track supplier vehicles on arrival and departure.
