Job summary

Epwin Group is seeking a Warehouse Operative to join our logistics team in the UK. You will efficiently pick and despatch plastic building products, upholding Health & Safety standards and SOPs, with a rotating 4-day pattern (19:00-06:00 and 08:00-19:00).

Training will begin on Monday for about 3 weeks. Daily pre-shift briefings, accurate picking and despatch documentation, and safe operation of equipment are required.

Responsibilities

• Highlight Health & Safety issues to the Shift Supervisor immediately.
• Attend a daily pre shift briefing with the Team Leader.
• Ensure all Picking documentation is completed correctly.
• Ensure product care is continuous and all equipment is treated with care.
• Ensure high level of communication at all times.
• Identify continuous improvement initiatives where possible.
• Achieve the agreed picking targets and report results to the Team Leader.
• Perform visual quality checks before picking and verify product code and quantity.
• Label and date all loads for despatch.
• Update Shift Coordinator on outstanding picks at shift end.
• Pay attention to allocated duties and reduce errors.
• Assist other internal departments when required.
• Attend stock takes to completion (twice yearly).
• Keep the area tidy and report hazards.
• Undertake relevant training for future development.
• Carry out any reasonable requests from Shift Coordinator/Warehouse manager.
