Job summary

Driver Hire is seeking two Warehouse Operatives (Pickers & Packers) based in Quedgeley, Gloucester. The roles involve picking and packing customer orders, using handheld scanners, moving pallets with a manual pump truck, and maintaining a clean, safe warehouse environment.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 07:20 – 16:50, at a pay rate of £14.80 per hour including holiday pay. This is a temporary to permanent position for the right candidates.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
• Good attention to detail and the ability to work accurately.
• A reliable, hardworking and positive attitude.
• Comfortable with manual handling and physical warehouse duties.
• Able to communicate effectively in English, including speaking, reading and understanding written instructions, to safely carry out the duties of the role.
• A forklift licence would be an advantage but is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Picking and packing customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Using handheld scanners to complete daily warehouse tasks.
• Operating a manual pump truck to move pallets of picked items around the warehouse.
• Carrying out manual handling duties.
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised working environment.
• Working as part of a team to meet daily targets and deadlines.
