Job summary

Howdens Joinery is recruiting a Warehouse Person at our depots in Wales to ensure stock is accurate, well-organised and ready for collection or delivery. This hands-on role emphasizes high standards, health and safety, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll unload deliveries, monitor forklift equipment, rotate stock, support trade customers, and help with deliveries and day-to-day warehouse operations, with a 40-hour week and no evenings, Sundays, or bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Valid forklift licence is desirable.
• Good stock control and health and safety understanding.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate records.
• Good literacy, numeracy and time management.
• Customer focused with a friendly and professional attitude.
• Clear communication and strong organisational and planning skills.
• Reliable, hands on and safety conscious in a busy warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Unload deliveries and check stock accurately to health and safety standards.
• Carry out daily checks on forklift trucks and equipment.
• Ensure stock is secure and prepared for dispatch.
• Complete regular stock checks and maintain records.
• Keep the warehouse clean, organised and efficient through stock rotation.
• Support trade customers with a professional and helpful service.
• Assist with deliveries, collections and general warehouse operations.
• Work closely with the depot team to keep operations running smoothly.
