Your Role
An opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse and Packing Operative (job share) based in Tilbury, Essex. The main duties of this role are to adhere to and promote the safety and health of self and others in conjunction with site, corporate and UK legislation. Operate carousel packers, palletisers, and shrink wrapper. Mix back flour and ingredients via a rip and tip area. Driving a fork lift truck to allow movement of products around the site area and for loading and unloading of vehicles. Cleaning and hygiene duties. This part-time vacancy is a job share position, working 21 hours per week, on 4on 4off day and night shifts.

Your Responsibilities

  • To operate the packing machines.
  • Ensure all areas operate efficiently, continually seek to outperform the set targets.
  • Ensure stock is rotated.
  • Report all plant faults to ensure efficient maintenance of all plant within the packing and warehouse environment.
  • Maintain accurate records as detailed in each area for performance and hygiene purposes.
  • Undertake any necessary training in order to fulfil job requirements.
  • Ensure the Health and Safety of all within the Company guidelines and current legislation.
  • Ensure absolute product safety through careful management of all process lines and product handling.
  • Employ a clean as you go policy.
  • Ensure all forklifts are operated within company and current legislation.
  • Ensure correct document control and record keeping.
  • All staff are expected to exhibit a flexible approach to working and the performance of supervisory tasks may be required for the wellbeing and advancement of the business.
  • Responsible for weighbridge operations when required.

Your Profile

  • Valid Fork Lift Truck License (Counter Balance).
  • Shunter vehicle experience.
  • Manual handling training.
  • Food safety.
  • Health and Safety.
  • To be capable of lifting 16kg to 25kg on a regular basis.
  • To be able to sustain periods of up to 4 hours standing.
  • Qualified to drive and operate a FLT.
