Job summary

Proactive Recruitment is seeking Warehouse Operatives for a client in the Daventry area. Join a busy logistics site handling Goods In, Picking and Recycling with full training provided. Shift patterns are available: Days 6am-2pm, Lates 2pm-10pm, Nights 10pm-6am.

This full-time role is temporary to permanent, offering weekly pay, overtime opportunities, on-site parking and potential career progression. You'll join a friendly and supportive team with chances to develop skills across Goods In,

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible approach to overtime and shift patterns.

Responsibilities

• Unload incoming deliveries safely and efficiently.
• Check deliveries against paperwork and report discrepancies.
• Inspect goods for damage and quality issues.
• Book stock into the warehouse management system.
• Move products to designated storage locations.
• Maintain a clean and organised goods-in area.
• Accurately pick customer orders using handheld scanners or pick sheets.
• Pack items securely and prepare orders for dispatch.
• Meet productivity and accuracy targets.
• Conduct stock checks when required.
• Follow all health and safety procedures.
• Support general warehouse duties as directed.
• Sort recyclable materials including cardboard, plastic, and packaging waste.
• Operate waste compactors and balers (training provided).
• Keep recycling and waste areas clean and compliant.
• Ensure waste is segregated correctly.
• Promote environmentally responsible working practices.
• Assist with site housekeeping duties.
