Job description

The Gi Group are currently looking for warehouse operators to join our client, a well‑known distribution company in Livingston.

This is temporary, on‑going work. If you are looking for a role that has a great, friendly working environment that includes working at a fast pace to meet targets and deadlines, this may be the job for you. Due to start time and site location own transport is essential.

Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour

Shift Patterns available:

• Tuesday to Saturday 4:00am to 12:30 = 40 hours per week

Responsibilities:

• Unloading containers from incoming vehicles
• Sort parcels to the correct dispatch location
• Loading onto outgoing transport
• Scanning and identification of parcel destination by code number or postcode
• Placing mail into the correct wheeled container for dispatch

Important information:

The operations take place in a loud, busy factory‑style environment where you will be standing for long periods of time, lifting items up to 11KG in weight and pushing wheeled containers weighing up to 250kg. Previous experience in a warehouse environment essential and you will be required to apply for a DBS check. Candidates also must be able to provide 2 years referencing all gaps in employment must be covered.
