Job summary

Manpower UK is seeking a reliable Warehouse Operator / Porter in Glasgow to join a busy team. You will pick orders, handle stock and palletise for dispatch in a fast-paced environment, supporting the Cellar Manager and colleagues to ensure timely customer dispatch.

The role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic and the ability to work safely in a warehouse with wines, beers and spirits. Driving licence and forklift training can be advantageous.

Qualifications

• Holds a valid UK driving licence (if applicable) and shows strong attention to detail.
• Positive, can-do attitude and good teamwork.
• Comfortable with manual handling and physical warehouse duties.
• Forklift experience is desirable but training can be provided.

Responsibilities

• Pick customer orders accurately from sheets.
• Handle and move stock safely, including wines, beers and spirits.
• Palletise and wrap orders for dispatch.
• Book pallet collections using Pallet Track system.
• Carry out quality and accuracy checks on orders before dispatch.
• Load and unload delivery vehicles.
• Deliver goods to customers using company vans when required.

The Warehouse Operator position in Glasgow, with Manpower UK, is a temporary role paying up to £12.71 per hour. Based in Maryhill, this hands‑on job involves the storage, preparation, and delivery of premium drinks and other goods. Working Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, you will pick orders precisely from sheets, handle stock safely, and palletise products. This role suits a reliable individual who can support the Cellar Manager and colleagues to guarantee accurate, timely customer dispatch. Prior experience is beneficial, though a strong work ethic and physical capability are essential. You will join a busy team where efficiency and attention to detail are valued.

About the Role

This is a hands‑on role within a fast‑paced warehouse environment, supporting the storage, preparation and delivery of premium wines, beers, spirits and other products. Working closely with the Cellar Manager and wider warehouse team, you’ll play a key role in ensuring customer orders are picked accurately, prepared efficiently and delivered on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Pick customer orders accurately from order sheets.
• Handle and move stock safely, including wines, beers and spirits.
• Palletise and wrap orders ready for dispatch.
• Book pallet collections using the Pallet Track system.
• Carry out quality and accuracy checks on orders before dispatch.
• Load and unload delivery vehicles.
• Deliver goods to customers using company vans when required.
• Participate in daily team briefings and work closely with the Cellar Manager.
• Support general warehouse operations and maintain a safe, tidy working environment.

About You

• Holds a valid UK driving licence (insurance restrictions mean drivers must be aged 21 or over).
• Has strong attention to detail and takes pride in accurate work.
• Has a positive, can‑do attitude and enjoys working as part of a team.
• Is comfortable with manual handling and physical warehouse duties.
• Can work efficiently in a busy environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Forklift experience is desirable but not essential , as full training can be provided for the right candidate.
