Job summary

Richard Austin Alloys in Strood, Kent, is seeking a warehouse operative to join a friendly, experienced team. You will pick, pack and load metal products for delivery to customers operating on a just-in-time basis.

Reliability, punctuality and a positive attitude are essential, with training provided. There are opportunities to grow skills while contributing to safe, efficient operations in a busy warehouse.

• Hands-on, physical warehouse work framework.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Training provided, prior warehouse experience useful but not essential.

Job description

Salary: A GBP 26,800 plus Overtime at higher rate.

Hours: 13.30pm to 23.00pm (Monday to Thursday) 11.30am to 18.30pm (Friday) plus alternate Saturday mornings 6am to 12pm

Location: Strood, Kent ME2 2AH : must live within a commutable distance

About The Role

Working as part of a friendly and experienced warehouse team, you will be responsible for picking, packing and loading metal products ready for delivery to customers who operate on a just in time basis.

Accuracy and attention to detail are important, as is a positive approach to working safely and efficiently. While the tasks themselves are straightforward, this is a role where reliability, teamwork and taking pride in doing a job properly really count.

We are keen to support people who show commitment and are willing to go the extra mile. There are opportunities to build on the role and increase skillset where possible.

• Comfortable with hands:on, physical warehouse work
• Reliable, punctual and keen to contribute as part of a team
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Good communication skills
• Previous warehouse experience is useful but not essential, as training will be provided.
