Victorian Plumbing is recruiting Warehouse Operatives for our Skelmersdale sites. This full-time role involves heavy lifting, packing, stock checks, and using warehouse systems to ensure accurate, timely order fulfilment. The team works across MFI Homeware and Tile lines with weekend shifts.

Please note: This is a physically demanding role involving a significant amount of heavy lifting and manual handling. Our products vary in size and weight, with some tiles and bathroom items being particularly heavy, so you'll need to be comfortable regularly lifting and moving stock throughout your shift.

What Will You Be Doing?

As a Warehouse Operative, you'll play an important role in ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. Your responsibilities will include:

• Picking, Packing and Dispatching: Accurately picking customer orders, packing products securely and preparing them for dispatch.

• Loading and Unloading: Assisting with deliveries and moving stock safely and efficiently around the warehouse.

• Stock Management: Organising, storing and replenishing stock to maintain a tidy and efficient working environment.

• Quality Checking: Inspecting products and orders to ensure everything is correct and in excellent condition before leaving the warehouse.

• Warehouse Operations: Using warehouse management systems and manual handling equipment where required to support daily operations.

• Teamwork and Safety: Working collaboratively with colleagues, following health and safety procedures and maintaining high standards throughout the warehouse.

What Are We Looking For?

You don't need to know everything about our products before joining us. We're looking for people with the right attitude, a willingness to learn and the ability to work well as part of a team.

You'll ideally have:

• Good Physical Fitness: Confidence in working in a physically demanding environment, with frequent heavy lifting and manual handling. Some products, particularly tiles and bathroom items, can be very heavy.

• A Keen Eye for Detail: The ability to pick and check orders accurately, ensuring customers receive the correct products.

• A Strong Work Ethic: A reliable, hardworking approach and the ability to keep up in a fast-paced warehouse.

• Good Teamwork Skills: A positive attitude and the ability to work effectively with colleagues.

• Organisation and Accuracy: The ability to keep stock organised and complete tasks efficiently.

• A Willingness to Learn: Basic IT skills are beneficial, and any previous warehouse or pallet truck experience would be an advantage.

Our MFI homeware roles will be based at 22 Grimrod Place, Skelmersdale, WN9 8UU

Our Victorian Plumbing Tile roles will be based at Unit A Pikelaw Place, Skelmersdale, WN8 9PP

Please note - Successful candidates will be working with either MFI Homeware (Grimrod) or Victorian Plumbing - Tiles (Pikelaw Place). Both of these role will require a lot of heavy lifting due to items sold.

Weekend Shifts and Pay

This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position, working one of the following weekend shift patterns:

• Saturday-Tuesday: 07:30-18:30 (Both sites)

• Thursday-Sunday: 07:30-18:30 (Pikelaw Place)

Pay rate: £13.20 per hour
Additional benefit: £200 monthly attendance bonus
