Job summary

Lathams Limited in Belfast is seeking a reliable Warehouse Operative to join our busy site. You will handle goods, assist with stock checks, and support logistics and construction teams to ensure timely deliveries.

Full-time, permanent role with on-site training, a competitive salary (£30,000–£32,000) and progression opportunities. You will work in a safety-conscious environment with colleagues across transport and warehouse operations.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse or logistics experience is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Physical fitness and ability to handle manual tasks, including lifting and moving stock.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming stock and materials.
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely, including forklifts and pallet trucks (training provided if necessary).
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised warehouse environment in line with health and safety standards.
• Assist with regular stock takes and inventory management to ensure stock accuracy.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues in logistics, transport, and construction teams to support operational needs.
• Report any damages, discrepancies, or issues promptly to warehouse supervisors.
