Job summary

A leading logistics provider in St Helens is looking for warehouse operatives for rotating shifts on a permanent contract. This role involves responsibilities such as picking and loading goods, operating handling equipment, and conducting stock checks. Successful candidates will receive training and support during their 16-week probation period. Applicants should have numeracy and literacy skills, and experience with high reach or fork lift trucks is preferred but not essential. A drug and alcohol test is required before employment.

• Experience within warehouse chambers preferred, but not essential.
• Handle goods carefully and comply with safety regulations.
• Ensure goods are not damaged through mis-handling or faulty storing or stacking.

Responsibilities

• Pick and load goods correctly in accordance with safe standards.
• Operate all manual and mechanical handling equipment safely.
• Assist in stock counting as required.
• Report any faults or dangerous conditions immediately.
• Undergo any training required by the company.
