Job summary

Staffline is hiring a Warehouse Operative at Avonmouth for a long-term, full-time role with day and night shifts. You will lead the Yard Team, oversee vehicle storage, and ensure operations run smoothly while meeting quality standards.

The role requires strong communication, supervisory experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Knowledge of automotive IT systems is a plus, and there are opportunities for overtime and career development within the Staffline network.

Responsibilities

• Direct the Yard Team to complete day-to-day work efficiently and on time.
• Manage vehicle storage in line with quality requirements and maximise land usage.
• Maintain effective communication.
• Investigate accidents and damages and report findings.
• Assist in managing suppliers, their staff and performance.
• Assist in developing resources including labour, buildings, or IT equipment.
• Handle HR issues such as disciplines, training, staff development, and recruitment.

Job description

Great opportunity to work as a Warehouse Operative for our client Avonmouth long-term.

Rate of Pay

• Weekday £14.24 per hour
• Week Night £16.85 per hour
• Weekend Day £15.65 per hour
• Weekend Night £18.26 per hour

This is a full-time role offering various shifts on days and nights.

Your Time at Work

• Directing and coordinating the Yard Team to ensure day-to-day work is completed efficiently and on time.
• Managing the storage of vehicles in line with the Customer's quality Requirements and to maximise land usage.
• Maintaining effective communication
• Responsible for Accident and damage investigations and onward reporting.
• Assisting in managing suppliers, their staff, and performance.
• Assisting in maintaining and developing resources, whether this is labour, buildings, or IT Equipment.
• Being active and responsible for HR Issues e.g., Disciplines, Training, Staff Development, and recruitment.

Our Perfect Worker

We are looking for an individual who is keen to develop their management skills. We require an individual who has a proactive attitude and wants to work with and develop the existing structure so that it remains progressive in its approach. You must have excellent communication skills and be a competent user of Microsoft Office programmes.

Applicants who have knowledge of bespoke automotive IT systems will be at an advantage.

An eye to the future and a keenness to grow and develop the current structure, whilst working in a team, are essential elements to the position.

Supervisor experience is essential.
