Job summary

Osborne Appointments is recruiting a Warehouse Operative - PPT Driver for a day shift in Worksop. You will operate a PPT, pick and pack stock, and move pallets safely to dispatch areas. The role is temp to perm with an ASAP start.

Join a busy warehouse team with overtime opportunities and a strong emphasis on safety and accuracy. A valid PPT licence is essential and prior warehouse experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• A valid PPT licence/certificate is essential.
• Experience operating a powered pallet truck in a warehouse or logistics setting.
• Experience with goods-in, goods-out or dispatch processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate a PPT safely and efficiently to move stock within the warehouse.
• Pick, pack and prepare stock for dispatch according to requirements.
• Load, unload and transport pallets safely around the site.
• Assist with goods-in and goods-out activities and check deliveries.
• Ensure pallets are stored correctly and maintain a clean workspace.
• Follow health and safety procedures and site rules.
• Work with the team to meet daily targets and deadlines.

Warehouse Operative - PPT Driver

Location: Worksop

Hours: Day shift, either 7am-3pm or 8am-4pm, with overtime opportunities available.

Start Date: ASAP. This position is a temp to perm position.

Duties of a Warehouse Operative:

• Operate a PPT (Powered Pallet Truck) safely and efficiently to move stock around the warehouse.
• Pick, move and prepare stock for dispatch in line with operational requirements.
• Load, unload and transport pallets safely within the warehouse.
• Assist with goods-in and goods-out activities, ensuring stock is handled correctly.
• Check stock and deliveries for accuracy, reporting any discrepancies or damaged goods.
• Ensure pallets are moved and stored in the correct locations.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Follow all site health and safety procedures and operational guidelines.
• Work closely with the warehouse team to ensure daily targets and deadlines are met.

What we are looking for:

• A valid PPT licence/certificate is essential.
• Previous experience operating a powered pallet truck in a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Previous warehouse experience, ideally involving goods-in, goods-out or dispatch.
• Good attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
• A reliable, proactive attitude with a strong focus on safety.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work either advertised day shift and undertake overtime when required.
• Availability to start ASAP.
