Job description

Turn wish lists into wow moments with us this season. From the buzz of Black Friday to the cheer of Christmas, you'll be part of a team that brings joy to every doorstep. With your precision and pace, from picking and packing to making sure every parcel is ready to go, you'll help deliver the festive feeling that makes this season so special.

Prefer to work overnight? Our Argos Local Fulfilment Centres (LFC's) are a 24‑hour operation, we offer a brilliant choice and quick service to our customers. We offer online ordering, home delivery and click‑and‑collect services to our customers, and to do this efficiently we need brilliant colleagues to move and manage our stock to make sure our customers get exactly what they have ordered and receive a brilliant experience. What makes this different? It's our customer focus. We don't have to wait for a spreadsheet or graph to tell us how well we're doing, because we're getting feedback directly from the customers. So, you'll hear firsthand the kind of impact you're making.

What you'll be doing

You will work overnight, guided via headset where the orders are in the depot, pick the right ones, and deliver those quickly to waiting drivers and customers. You'll also be putting deliveries away in the correct place. The centre is built on teamwork, and you'll soon get into the rhythm of the job with friendly colleagues around to help you.

What's in it for you

These are new environments, so you'll be joining a team at the beginning, quickly making yourself indispensable to the team. You'll really benefit from the supportive, family feel and helpful management. We've got more than enough room for people who want part‑time, or job share roles too, so let's talk about your availability.

Eligibility
  • You must be above the school‑leaver age in your country.
  • You must have Right to Work eligibility in the UK.
  • You must be fully licensed to drive and have held a full UK/EU driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points on it.
  • An inclusive place to work and shop.

We are dedicated to being a truly inclusive retailer, where every colleague can achieve their full potential, and every customer feels welcome when they shop with us. To support this commitment, our colleagues may be entitled to a range of enhanced discretionary leave for families, as well as support for carers. We provide our colleagues resources to help them understand and support their role and their team effectively. Our internal colleague networks seek to ensure true representation for everyone, helping us identify and remove barriers that our colleagues may face. We are proud to offer a range of development opportunities, including mentorship, training, and career progression pathways, to help our colleagues grow and succeed. We also celebrate diversity through various initiatives and events, fostering a culture of inclusion and respect. If you would like to learn more about our commitment to inclusivity, please take a look here. Should you require any reasonable adjustments during the application or interview stages, please let us know, and we will endeavour to support you. Please note – We reserve the right to close the advert earlier than the closing date advertised, where we receive a high number of applications.

Benefits

Alongside this, we also offer a great range of benefits for all our colleagues, including:

  • After you've worked with us for more than 4 weeks, we'll send you two colleague discount cards – one for yourself and one for a second user who lives permanently at the same address as you.
  • Your discount card gives you 10 % discount off your shopping at Sainsbury's, Argos, Tu and Habitat. This increases to 15 % discount off at Sainsbury's every Friday and Saturday and 15 % off at Argos every pay day.
  • Food and hot drinks are provided in colleague areas in all our Local Fulfilment Centres.
