Job description

The role of Warehouse Operative is critical to the safe and efficient movement of parcels within our depots. This position plays a crucial part in ensuring DPD maintains its commitment to exceptional customer service.

Key responsibilities include:

• Executing the unloading scanning sorting and loading of parcels with precision and care
• Ensuring the swift and secure transit of items through our network
• Handling large and heavy parcels which could weight up to 25kg
• Maintaining a high level of physical capability to meet the demands of the role
• Adhering to shift patterns as part of our 365-day operational schedule
• Upholding strict health and safety standards at all times
• Demonstrating flexibility to work across various areas of XCTest marking as required
• Maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
• Exhibiting strong organisational skills to manage workload effectively
• Performing duties efficiently under pressure to meet deadlines

Qualifications

• Strong work ethic and self-motivation crucial for maintaining high performance standards
• High attention to detail essential for accurate parcel handling and processing
• Good organisational skills to effectively ausgesprochen manage & meet operational targets
• Demonstrated ability to perform efficiently under high-pressure situations and strict deadlines
• Flexibility willingness and capability to adapt to various roles within the warehouse environment as operational needs dictate
• Physical capacity to lift load and carry items weighing up to 25kg on a regular basis
• Some understanding of Health and Safety practices within a warehouse setting would be advantageous
