🔍 Job Summary:

Houston Skilled Consultancy is actively hiring reliable, motivated, and physically capable Warehouse Operatives to join our distribution team in a fast-paced, shift-based environment. As a key part of our warehouse operations, you will be responsible for using LLOP (Low-Level Order Picker) equipment to accurately pick and prepare customer orders for dispatch. This is an ideal role for individuals who thrive in logistics, are attentive to detail, and enjoy working as part of a team.

🛠 Key Responsibilities:

• Operate LLOP equipment safely and efficiently to pick orders.
• Accurately follow picking instructions and ensure correct item selection.
• Stack, wrap, and prepare pallets for dispatch according to company standards.
• Report inventory discrepancies or stock damages immediately.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Assist in general warehouse duties including restocking, labelling, and sorting.
• Follow all health and safety regulations and company procedures.
• Meet daily and weekly performance targets related to picking speed and accuracy.

✅ Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Basic understanding of warehouse processes and logistics.
• Ability to operate or willingness to learn LLOP equipment (full training provided).
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy goods where necessary (up to 25 kg).
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Good verbal communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Flexible to work various shifts as needed.

🎓 Experience:

• Prior experience in a warehouse or logistics role is preferred but not essential.
• Experience using LLOP or other MHE (Material Handling Equipment) is advantage.
• Full training will be provided for candidates with the right attitude and work ethic.

⏰ Working Hours:

• Shift patterns include:
  • Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Afternoon Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
  • Night Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 5–6 working days per week with rotating weekly rosters.
• Overtime opportunities available during peak seasons.

• Understanding of order picking, stock management, and health & safety protocols.
• Proficiency in reading pick lists and following digital order systems.
• Capable of working independently or in teams with minimal supervision.
• Positive attitude with a strong work ethic and reliability.
• Adaptable to changes in tasks and shift patterns based on operational needs.
