Job summary

JDR Recruitment is seeking a Warehouse Operative in Leyland, Lancashire. The role involves receiving goods, picking, packing, stock checks and using warehouse systems to keep records up to date. You will work Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm, with a fully paid 1-hour break each day.

FLT and a valid driving licence are preferred qualifications for the job. The position is temporary to permanent, offering a stable path within a manufacturing/industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Good numeracy and communication skills.
• Physically fit and able to lift and move stock safely.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.

Responsibilities

• Receiving deliveries and checking goods against delivery notes.
• Loading and unloading vehicles safely.
• Picking and packing customer orders accurately.
• Labelling, wrapping, and preparing products for dispatch.
• Stock control and inventory checks.
• Updating stock records using warehouse systems.
• Maintaining warehouse cleanliness and organisation.
• Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
• Assisting with regular stock takes.
• Working closely with production and logistics teams to meet customer delivery deadlines.
