Job summary

JDR Recruitment are recruiting for Warehouse Operatives with a Counterbalance FLT Driver to work for a large manufacturing company based in Trafford Park. In this role, the successful candidate will operate the automated packing line, producing bagged flour in 5kg, 10kg, 16kg and 25kg capacity, loading vehicles, unloading packaging goods, and carrying out cleaning duties.

You will work 4 on 4 off shifts, 6am-6pm and 6pm-6am, with pay rates of £14.51, £21.79 and £29.02 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience in hygiene in a food manufacturing environment would be an advantage.
• Food safety awareness essential.
• Forklift experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate the High-Speed Packer and 5kg lines per procedures.
• Carry out warehouse duties and forklift operations per safety rules.
• Bagged Flour Production in line with Quality Systems.
• Report breakdowns to Engineers; maintain quality records.

In this role, the successful candidate will need to effectively operate the automated packing line, producing bagged flour in 5kg, 10kg, 16kg and 25kg capacity, loading vehicles, unloading packaging goods, processing computerised packing sheets & carry out cleaning duties.

Daily Duties

• Operate the High-Speed Packer and 5kg lines in accordance with operational, food/feed & safety procedures.
• Carry out warehouse and production duties (including use of forklift truck) in accordance with operational & safety procedures.
• Bagged Flour Production in accordance with Quality Systems and Standards.
• Ensure breakdown/faults are communicated to the Engineers.
• The timely and accurate completion of all paperwork relevant to quality and integrity systems.
• Effective use of WMS to ensure accurate stock control, picking & loading is always achieved.
• Ensure in process CCP's checked and records maintained.
• Carry out and record, food checks and health and safety checks; reporting any issues found.
• Maintain and improve the packing and warehouse area's cleanliness and hygiene standards; ensuring a clean as you go always approach.

Skills / Experience

• Experience of hygiene in a food manufacturing environment would be an advantage.
• Food safety awareness
• Ability to use Forklift trucks would be an advantage.
• Computer literate would be an advantage
• Works well within teams.
• Capable of working under own initiative
• Effective communication skills.
• Attention to detail and thorough approach, even when working under pressure.

Shifts

4 on 4 off shifts consisting of a rotating 6am-6pm and 6pm-6am

Pay Rate

Monday - Friday Hours: £14.51 per hour

Saturday Hours: £21.79 per hour

Sunday & bank Holiday Hours: £29.02 per hour
