Position: Cold Store Operative with forklift

Location: Wincanton, Somerset

Salary: £12.73 per for 6am and 2pm shifts, £18.50 per hour for 10pm shift

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, rotating shifts 6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm, 10pm - 6am

Duration: Temp to perm

Start Date: Immediate

Job

• Safely operate a forklift to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse.
• Perform routine checks and maintenance on the forklift to ensure optimal performance.
• Assist with inventory management, including stock checks and maintaining accurate records.
• Organize and stack goods in the designated areas, ensuring efficient use of space.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
• Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, including packing, labeling, and general housekeeping.

Requirements

• Valid Forklift License (Counterbalance and/or Reach Truck preferred).
• Proven experience as an FLT Operative in a warehouse or similar environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Physical fitness and ability to lift and move heavy items.
• Be adaptable, be able to work 3 shift 6-2/2-10/10-6 and the odd Saturday when needed.
