Job summary

A logistics recruitment company in the Truro area is seeking a warehouse operative & driver. This full-time permanent role includes delivering goods and performing warehouse duties. Candidates should hold a valid Category B licence and be able to lift heavy items. Training for forklift operation will be provided. Competitive pay starting at £12.21 per hour.

Job description

We are currently looking to take on a warehouse operative & driver for a client of ours based within the Truro area, delivering removals goods and furniture around Cornwall. This will be a full time permanent role, with the intention of training to upskill to a forklift operator. If this is you, keep reading for more information!

About the job

• The hours vary depending on your day or route with a start time of between 07:30am with job till finish (usually mid-afternoon).
• Pay is between £12.21 per hour (pay increases will be assessed once forklift training is complete)
• This will be a full time, permanent role, Monday - Friday
• Driving 3.5t vans will also be required
• General warehouse duties including; Keeping the site clean and tidy, carrying out fire safety checks, warehouse audits, assisting on removals, packing and loading
• There will also be an element of admin involved, including basic use of computers

Job requirements

• A full and valid Category B (standard car) licence with no more than 6 points & no DR, DD or IN convictions for insurance purposes.
• Ability to use computers at a basic level (training will be provided)
• The ability to lift and carry fairly heavy items throughout the day, as well as driving, is a requirement due to the physical nature of the jobs.
• Previous warehouse / delivery driving / forklift experience would be beneficial.
