Job summary

Kinetic plc in Derby, East Midlands, is seeking a Warehouse Operative for a temporary-to-permanent role. The job covers goods-in, picking and packing, stock control and occasional delivery driving, with Monday to Friday hours from 7:30am to 5pm.

The role involves unloading deliveries, checking quantities and expiry dates, packing orders, creating labels, monitoring stock and using a 3.5-tonne van for deliveries. Oracle experience is used to receipt goods and process orders.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience.
• Full UK driving licence – essential.
• Experience driving a 3.5-tonne van with tail lift desirable.
• Counterbalance FLT licence and experience desirable but not essential.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good understanding of manual handling practices.
• Reliable and flexible approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Unload deliveries and follow goods-in procedures.
• Check deliveries for quantity, quality and expiry dates.
• Pick, pack and dispatch customer orders accurately and on time.
• Create packing labels and delivery manifests.
• Monitor stock levels and report discrepancies.
• Complete stock counts and replenish stock as required.
• Use a 3.5-tonne van to make deliveries and provide driving cover for holidays and absences.
• Use ORACLE to receipt goods and process sales orders.
• Maintain Health & Safety standards and carry out equipment checks.
