Job summary

JW Lees & Co. is recruiting a Warehouse Operative for our Middleton warehouse on a day shift, Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work. You will handle goods receipt, pick orders, load distribution vehicles and carry out stock checks.

The role requires good numeracy and literacy, clear communication, and a proactive, team-focused approach. Level 2 warehousing is desirable, and a Reach Counterbalance FLT licence is an advantage; training may be provided for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Level 2 in warehousing and storage desirable but not essential.
• Experience in manual handling and lifting.
• Good levels of numeracy and literacy.
• Good communication skills with a well organised approach to work.
• Flexible approach to interdepartmental deployment to suit business needs.
• To be able to work the occasional weekend where required.
• Experience of working on own initiative and in a team.
• Experience of working in a fast-paced production or warehousing environment.

Responsibilities

• Receipt of goods into the warehouse
• Picking of orders
• Loading of distribution fleet vehicles
• Stocktaking
• Occasional secondment to other areas such as distribution and brewery to assist with operational demands
• Reach Counterbalance FLT Licence
• Level 2 in warehousing and storage desirable but not essential
