Job summary

Optime Group are seeking an experienced Warehouse Operative to join a well-respected client in Avonmouth. The role offers good hours, overtime, and a supportive environment with excellent facilities.

Shifts include Day (£13.00 p/h) and Night (£13.50 p/h) with patterns such as Mon-Fri 08:00-16:00, 14:00-22:00, and Sun-Thu 22:00-06:00. Weekly pay and temp-to-perm potential await the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload goods safely and efficiently.
• Sort, scan and process stock according to requirements.
• Pick, pack and prepare goods for dispatch.
• Move cartons, pallets and other warehouse stock.
• Support goods-in, stock control and outbound distribution.
• Ensure products are labelled, scanned and routed correctly.
• Use handheld scanners and WMS where required.
• Identify damaged goods and stock discrepancies and report issues.
• Work towards daily productivity, accuracy and quality targets.
• Maintain a clean, tidy warehouse and follow safety procedures.
• Support colleagues to ensure smooth operations.

  • £13.00 per hour (Day Shift)
  • £13.50 per hour (Night Shift)
• Shift Pattern:
  • We are recruiting for the following shift patterns and hours:
  • Monday - Friday 08:00-16:00
  • Monday - Friday 14:00-22:00
  • Sunday - Thursday 22:00-06:00

Start Date :

• ASAP.

Key Duties:

• Loading and unloading goods safely and efficiently.
• Sorting, scanning and processing stock in line with operational requirements.
• Picking, packing and preparing goods for dispatch.
• Handling and moving cartons, pallets and other warehouse stock.
• Supporting goods-in, stock control and outbound distribution activities.
• Ensuring products are correctly labelled, scanned and routed to the appropriate locations.
• Using handheld scanners and warehouse management systems where required.
• Identifying and reporting damaged goods, stock discrepancies and operational issues.
• Working towards daily productivity, accuracy and quality targets.
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised warehouse environment.
• Following all site health and safety procedures, including safe manual handling practices.
• Supporting colleagues and team leaders to ensure smooth and efficient warehouse operations.

Requirements:

• Previous warehouse experience is desirable but not essential.
• Reliable individuals with a strong work ethic and good attendance.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically active environment.
• Good attention to detail and a positive attitude.
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Flexibility to support operational requirements.
• Ability to read, understand and follow directions/instructions.
• Ability to count accurately and to perform simple math calculations.
• Ability to move products which may require bending, stretching, stooping, stepping, reaching and/or lifting, in line with Health & Safety regulations.
• Successful candidates will need to partake in a drug and alcohol test during the interview process.
• Due to the location of this warehouse a Driving Licence is preferred.
