JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Warehouse Operative and Driver / Trade Counter Assistant who has great customer service, organisational and time‑management skills.

Working as the Warehouse Operative and Driver / Trade Counter Assistant you will primarily be based in the warehouse, storing, picking and packing products. In addition to this you will support the trade counter when required which will involve interacting with customers, providing advice and selling a range of security products such as CCTV Systems, Intruder Alarms, Fire Control Products, Intercoms plus much more.

As the Warehouse Operative and Driver / Trade Counter Assistant you will also support the branch and assist with deliveries when required.

DUTIES

Your duties as the Warehouse Operative and Driver / Trade Counter Assistant include :

Warehouse Duties

Inbound Deliveries :

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming stock
• Unpack and check items against delivery notes
• Label stock according to warehouse procedures
• Book items into the inventory system
• Organise and shelve stock efficiently
• Report any damages or shortages promptly

Outbound Orders :

• Pick and pack customer orders accurately
• Coordinate with the Sales Team to complete orders
• Ensure safe and secure packaging for delivery

General Warehouse Responsibilities :

• Perform manual handling and ladder work as required
• Demonstrate good numeracy skills and legible handwriting
• Participate in general housekeeping and maintenance
• Maintain a polite, professional attitude with customers and team members
• Assist on the Trade Counter when needed

Van Delivery Driver Duties :

• Deliver products courteously and professionally
• Maintain a clean and tidy personal appearance and vehicle
• Load / unload goods safely and efficiently
• Plan delivery routes for time efficiency
• Ensure vehicle upkeep and cleanliness

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Hold a valid, clean UK driving licence
• Experience in a wholesale or trade counter environment preferred (training provided)
• Strong multitasking and time management skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
• Physically capable of warehouse and delivery tasks
