Job summary

Chord Event is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Operative for our Cranleigh, West Sussex warehouse. You will ensure equipment is picked, packed and ready for events, while helping manage stock and supporting a busy team. The role is full-time (37.5 hours/week) with some extended hours and Saturdays during peak season.

You’ll be physically fit, reliable and a team player; training is provided and forklift/driving advantages are welcome. The position offers a competitive salary dependent on experience.

Qualifications

• Warehouse or logistics experience is useful but training is provided.
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.
• Flexibility to work extended hours during peak periods (April–October).

Responsibilities

• Picking, packing and preparing equipment for upcoming events.
• Inspecting, cleaning and looking after hire stock.
• Checking returned equipment for damage or maintenance needs.
• Keeping stock labelled, organised and easy to find.
• Helping prepare load lists and load vehicles.
• Carrying out warehouse and Health & Safety checks.

Warehouse Operative - Competitive salary, depending on experience - Cranleigh, West Sussex (RH12)

A hands‑on Warehouse Operative who takes pride in a job done properly and enjoys being part of a team that gets stuck in together. You'll be organised, reliable, and happiest when there's a result to show for your work at the end of the day.

Every event Chord Event delivers starts in our warehouse long before our crew reaches site. This role helps keep that process running - making sure the equipment behind some of the world's most incredible events is always ready to go.

The role

As a Warehouse Operative, you’ll make sure our hire equipment is picked, packed, checked and ready to go. You’ll also help look after returning stock, keep the warehouse organised and support the wider team during busy periods.

This is a full-time role based at our Cranleigh warehouse, working 37.5 hours per week. Some extended hours and Saturdays will be required during our April–October peak season.

• Working closely with our warehouse, logistics and site teams.

The person

You’ll be practical, dependable and willing to get stuck in.

Warehouse or logistics experience would be useful, but isn’t essential as training is provided. A forklift licence, clean driving licence or events experience would also be an advantage.

You’ll need to be physically fit, comfortable with manual handling and happy working flexible hours during busy periods.
