Job Title: Warehouse Operator

Location: Swadlincote

Pay Rate: £12.21-£14.27phr

Status: Long Term Temporary -Possibly leading to a permanent position!

Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Thursday 8am to 4.30pm and Friday 8am to 1.30pm

About The Role

We are currently seeking to recruit two reliable and experienced Warehouse Operators to join our team on a temporary basis. You’ll play a key role in supporting warehouse operations, ensuring goods are received, stored, and distributed safely and efficiently.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work in a fast-paced environment and is available for immediate start.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with receiving deliveries and checking items against paperwork.
  • Accurately record stock movements and update inventory systems.
  • Prepare and stage goods for dispatch.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organised warehouse environment.
  • Carry out general warehouse duties as required to support the team.
  • If valid forklift licence, operate a counterbalance forklift truck to move, load, and unload goods.
Requirements
  • Valid forklift licence (Counterbalance and/or Reach) desirable.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Basic IT/computer skills for stock entry
  • Ability to lift and move goods safely
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and manage workload effectively.
  • Flexibility to work additional hours or shifts if required.
