Job summary

A leading logistics company in Stevenage is looking for a Warehouse Operative responsible for loading, unloading, and managing goods for the Healthcare sector. The ideal candidate will have experience with electronic Warehouse Management systems and Microsoft Office. This is a permanent position with a work schedule of 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, and requires flexibility for urgent medical deliveries.

Job description

This position is responsible for loading, unloading, shipping, receiving, scanning, sorting, and stocking packages. This position may utilize heavy machinery to complete tasks. This position performs other tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities: Prepare and dispatch a wide range of goods for the Healthcare sector using handheld scanners. Final check of goods ready to place into correct driver bays for dispatch. Use Delivery/collection notes and paperwork provided to check serial numbers of items. Manage the turnaround of items required to fulfill orders. Quality control checks, reporting discrepancies to account manager. Liaise with Fleet & Distribution Manager for any loading bay, weight, or size of order issues. Assist internal drivers with unloading of goods, and deal with any issues. Scan and account for returning goods, ensuring they are fit to return stock. Have a clear understanding of the company’s policies and vision and how the Warehouse contributes to these. Adhere to the supply chain policies and procedures.

Good working knowledge of electronic Warehouse Management SAP, Lidia Warehouse experience - Preferred. Good working knowledge of Microsoft office - Word, Excel, Power Point.

Work Schedule – Monday to Friday – 45 hours per week, 8.30am – 5.30pm. Weekend working available as required, paid at time and half hourly rate.
