Job summary

GSF Car Parts Limited is seeking a Warehouse Operative to join our team. You will ensure orders are picked and packed and ready for delivery to customers, with strong focus on accuracy and efficiency in stock handling.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, coordinating with the team to meet delivery timeframes, while maintaining high service standards and attention to detail. Full-time hours, with a typical 41-hour week, Monday to Friday and alternate Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a fast paced warehouse or similar environment.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in order picking.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills; understanding of stock control.

Responsibilities

• Check and put away supplier-delivered parts.
• Pick and load vans accurately and timely.
• Check customer returns for resale, warranty or surcharge.
• Verify stock quantities against computer and bin locations.

About The Role

At GSF Car Parts, our Warehouse Operatives play an important role within the team by always ensuring orders are picked and packed, and ready to be delivered to our customers. They are champions of customer service delivery through efficient coordination of warehouse stock and understand the importance of delivery timeframes.

• Checking and putting away supplier delivered parts
• Picking and loading vans accurately and in a timely manner
• Checking customer returns for resale, warranty or surcharge
• Checking stock quantities are correct against computer whilst also checking stock is stored in the allocated bin locations

Working hours

41 hours (average) Monday to Friday, including alternate Saturday working.

About You

What you’ll need to succeed:

• A great track record working in a fast paced warehouse, or similar environment
• Ability to work well under pressure
• A good team player
• Work efficiently with good attention to detail
• Understand the necessity of customer service & working to deadlines
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills
• Good communication skills
• Knowledge of car parts and the automotive industry would be desirable
