Job summary

Osborne Appointments is looking for a Warehouse Operative in Sawtry, Cambridge. The role involves assembling welcome bags, picking and packing stock, and preparing shipments for courier collection. Overtime is available and induction runs 9am–4pm.

The hourly rate is £12.71, with shifts 6am–2pm or 2pm–10pm. Candidates should have warehouse or packing experience, good organisational skills, and the ability to work accurately under pressure.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or packing environment.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual handling duties.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Assemble university welcome bags according to detailed packing specifications.
• Pick, pack, and prepare stock accurately for dispatch to universities and educational institutions.
• Receive, unload, inspect, and store incoming deliveries.
• Carry out quality checks to ensure all welcome bags contain the correct items and meet company standards.
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages or damaged goods.
• Maintain accurate warehouse inventory records.
• Prepare pallets and shipments for courier collection and distribution.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely (training provided where applicable).
• Keep the warehouse clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
• Assist with stock takes and inventory audits.
• Support seasonal increases in workload during university enrolment periods.

Warehouse Operative
