Job summary

Alliance Healthcare Management Services Limited in Northampton is seeking a proactive Warehouse Operative to join our team and support safe storage, handling and movement of healthcare products.

You will monitor temperature-sensitive items, maintain accurate inventory, and assist outbound logistics in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role requires strong attention to detail, communication skills, and adherence to health and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Less than 2 years of experience in warehouse support preferred.
  • CSCP or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of receiving, storage, picking, packing, shipping processes.
  • Understanding of inventory control and traceability.
  • Knowledge in temperature-controlled handling and cold chain support requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor temperature-sensitive products during storage and shipment preparation.
  • Maintain accurate warehouse transactions, inventory records, and shipment documentation.
  • Identify damaged, non-conforming, or on-hold stock and follow handling procedures.
  • Coordinate movement of materials using approved warehouse equipment.
  • Prepare packaging materials for outbound shipments.
  • Ensure shipment areas are organized and ready for daily operations.
  • Support inventory control and product traceability.
  • Escalate inventory discrepancies for resolution.

Job Title: Warehouse Operative

Summary of Role

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to join our team. This role plays an important part in supporting the safe storage, handling, and movement of products within a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will help ensure inventory accuracy, maintain product integrity, and support efficient outbound operations that contribute to the delivery of essential healthcare products.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor temperature-sensitive products during storage and shipment preparation.
  • Maintain accurate warehouse transactions, inventory records, and shipment documentation.
  • Identify damaged, non-conforming, or on-hold stock and follow established handling procedures.
  • Coordinate the movement of materials using approved warehouse equipment.
  • Prepare packaging materials for outbound shipments.
  • Ensure shipment areas are organised and ready for daily operations.
  • Support inventory control and product traceability activities.
  • Escalate inventory discrepancies or non-standard handling issues for resolution.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required.
  • Less than 2 years of experience in warehouse support, distribution operations, shipping, receiving, inventory control, material handling, or a related field required.
  • Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Knowledge in warehouse operations processes, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, staging, and shipping.
  • Knowledge in inventory control principles, stock movement tracking, and material traceability requirements.
  • Knowledge in temperature-controlled handling and cold chain support requirements for sensitive products and materials.
  • Knowledge in packaging materials, reusable shipping assets, and replenishment practices within warehouse operations.
  • Knowledge in shipment documentation, operational recordkeeping, and transaction processing requirements.
  • Knowledge in safe material handling practices and the use of warehouse equipment and tools.
  • Ability to follow established warehouse procedures and standardized work instructions.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and update operational information in warehouse systems and logs.
  • Ability to identify inventory, packaging, shipment, and material handling exceptions for further action.
  • Ability to support timely and accurate order preparation and material movement activities.
  • Ability to manage multiple routine tasks across warehouse workflows while maintaining accuracy.
  • Ability to work with temperature-sensitive materials in line with defined handling requirements.
