Overview

Great opportunity to work as a Warehouse Operative, picking and packing food products for a UK leading supermarket. Staffline is recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to work in Northampton.

This is a full-time role, working any 5 days out of 7.

Hours and pay

The hours of work are:

  • Chilled: 6am to 2pm
  • Ambient: 6am to 2pm
  • Produce: 10am to 6pm

The rate of pay is £13.46 per hour with overtime available, paid up to £21.74 per hour. There is a performance bonus up to £6 per hour available.

Your Time at Work

As a Warehouse Operative, your role will include:

  • Voice picking using LLOPs in an ambient environment.
  • Picking and packing cages and pallets in a chilled environment
  • Ensuring all picking is completed to the required standards
  • Using MHE and other Warehouse duties as required

This role is physically demanding, involves manual handling, twisting and turning. Heavy lifting of up to 25kg is involved in this role.

  • Work to meet customer performance standards.
  • Adhere to health and safety policies and procedures
  • Perform other general warehouse duties as required
  • Have a key role in supporting our store colleagues by making sure orders are assembled correctly.
  • Picking, stacking and manually handling stock items.
  • Maintain a clear and tidy warehouse and ensure any potential hazards are dealt with safely, quickly and efficiently.
  • Make sure stock is received, stored, packed and transported according to the highest standards.
  • Take responsibility for your own and others\' safety whilst at work
  • Work both independently and as part of a team

Experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential.
