Job description

Responsibilities

• Handle goods correctly to minimise damage and follow manual handling techniques to prevent injury.
• Carry out other reasonable requests to support the effective operation of the warehouse.
• Use manual handling equipment appropriately, as trained, to support operational processes when needed.
• Adhere to all health and safety procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and take appropriate action if procedures are not followed or can be improved.
• Conduct equipment checks according to procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
• Maintain and update site Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work, and working instructions.
• Continuously seek ways to improve processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and customer service.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience.
• Experience in using RF scanners.
• Awareness of manual handling techniques.
• Counterbalance, VNA, or T20 experience/licence (training can be provided).
• Familiarity with OPUS Warehouse Management team.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Self-motivated and flexible.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Deputise for the Team Leader where appropriate.
