Job summary

First Base Employment is seeking a reliable Warehouse Team Member to join a small Cheltenham team. You will assist in goods-in, stock put-away and, most of all, accurate picking and packing of customer orders. This full-time role is based on a day shift from 8:00am to 5:00pm.

The successful candidate should be physically fit, trustworthy and prepared to support colleagues during busy periods. Forklift training may be provided if not already held.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Forklift licence advantageous (training may be provided).
• Leadership or supervisory experience desirable.
• Physically fit and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Receive and check incoming deliveries.
• Put stock away safely and in correct locations.
• Pick and pack customer orders accurately and neatly.
• Operate forklift trucks and order-picking equipment where required.
• Ensure orders are dispatched on time.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and well-organised warehouse.
• Collaborate with colleagues to meet daily workload.
• Support the wider warehouse team during busy periods.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm

Job Type: Full-time – Temporary to Permanent

Pay:Circa £30,000

Our client is looking for a reliable and hands‑on Warehouse Team Member to join their small team in Cheltenham. The role will involve supporting the day‑to‑day warehouse operation, including goods‑in, stock put‑away and, primarily, the accurate picking and packing of customer orders.

As part of a small team, the successful candidate will be trustworthy, take ownership of their responsibilities and be willing to support colleagues during busy periods.

Key Responsibilities of a Warehouse Team Member:

• Receive and check incoming deliveries
• Put stock away safely and in the correct locations
• Pick and pack customer orders accurately, neatly and to a high standard
• Operate forklift trucks and order‑picking equipment where required
• Ensure orders are prepared and dispatched on time
• Maintain a clean, tidy and well‑organised warehouse
• Work closely with colleagues to meet daily workload requirements
• Support the wider warehouse team during busy periods

Key Skills of a Warehouse Team Member:

• Previous warehouse experience would be beneficial
• A forklift licence would be advantageous, although training may be available
• Previous warehouse leadership or supervisory experience would be desirable
• Physically fit and comfortable working in an active role
• Strong attention to detail and a focus on accuracy
• Trustworthy, positive and responsible approach to work
• Able to work independently and as part of a small team
• Clear and respectful communication skills
• Good common sense and the ability to use initiative
• Flexible and willing to go the extra mile when required
