Responsibilities

• Serve customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs.
• Respond to customer enquiries via telephone promptly and courteously.
• Give price quotations to customers.
• Work within the warehouse with manual handling of heavy stock.
• Deliver products such as boilers, cylinders, and radiators.
• Build and maintain excellent relationships with customers.
• Ensure all aspects of Health & Safety are adhered to.
• Load and unload the vehicle.
• Provide support in the warehouse when not driving.
• Maintain high standards of Health & Safety within the warehouse.

Skills

Proven experience as a delivery driver - LGV 7.5 Tonne

Full clean driving license

Warehouse experience

As an Operations Assistant based in Cardiff, you will be responsible for:

• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations

• Responding to customer enquiries via telephone promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude

• Giving price quotations to customers

• Working within the warehouse - (This will involve manual handling heavy stock e.g. boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets)

• Delivering a variety of products such as boilers, cylinders and radiators generally

• Building and maintaining excellent relationships with customers ensuring you are a positive ambassador of the Wolseley brand

• Ensuring all aspects of Health & Safety are adhered to, carrying out a daily check on the vehicle, equipment and load

• Loading and unloading the vehicle

• Providing support in the warehouse when not driving working as part of the team at this busy contract branch.

• Maintaining high standards of H&S within the warehouse

This is a permanent position working 20 hours a week Monday to Friday - flexible on days
