Job description

As a Warehouse Operative, within Mission Systems you'll be part of an international company that's continually innovating. Our aspirations are big - and you'll help make them possible. Day to day as a Warehouse Operative, you'll play a pivotal role in the success of our manufacturing site. You'll join a collaborative and energetic team of operational, production, project, engineering, and functional staff, working together to deliver cutting‑edge defence projects to UK and international clients.

Responsibilities
  • Receive and inspect inbound goods from 3PL providers, verifying accuracy against delivery documentation and checking for damage or discrepancies and confirm completeness and configuration of incoming kits, escalating issues and supporting rework where required.
  • Deliver materials and kits to internal departments, acting as banksman for vehicle movements and ensuring safe handling and adhering to safety standards and manual handling practices while ensuring high levels of accuracy and quality.
  • Check packaging integrity and labelling for compliance with internal standards; support repackaging or relabelling when necessary whilst maintaining accurate inventory records, update systems, and assist with stock reconciliation, cycle counts, and audits.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Production, and Logistics teams to resolve issues and maintain workflow efficiency in order to support the business in any related storage, logistics or handling activities, ensuring working area is kept in good condition to maintain efficient operations.

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Ashton Vale, Bristol.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of goods‑in processes and 3PL operations.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills for cross‑department collaboration.
  • Basic IT proficiency for inventory systems and documentation.
  • Awareness of manual handling and commitment to safety standards.
