Job summary

A dynamic recruitment agency is seeking a reliable Warehouse Assistant for a client in Biggleswade. This role involves organizing the warehouse, stock control, and ensuring a safe work environment. Overview

Corr Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse Assistant to join one of our dynamic client teams.

Shift & Compensation
  • Monday to Friday shift 9:00 - 18:00
  • £12.50 per hour
  • Saturday or Sunday overtime: £18.75 per hour
  • Immediate start available.
Responsibilities
  • Organising the warehouse: storing orders and deliveries in a safe and easily accessible way.
  • Stock control: assisting with stock control of clients' products and supporting continuous improvement projects.
  • Ensuring a safe working environment: maintaining a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
  • Daily tasks: checking the details and quality of incoming and outgoing deliveries, preparing and loading orders for shipping, and assisting with inventory management.
  • Manual handling duties: conducting manual handling up to the limits specified by the HSE and assisting in loading and unloading goods.
  • Quality control: checking the quantity, type, and quality of goods received and carrying out regular stock takes and quality control.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred but not essential.
  • Familiarity with materials handling techniques and equipment is advantageous.
  • Experience operating forklifts or other mechanical equipment is a plus.
  • A strong understanding of inventory management and Goods In processes will be beneficial.
  • Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail is crucial for success in this role.
