Job summary

Anglia Plastics in Biggleswade is seeking a Warehouse Operative to join our warehouse team. The role covers picking, packing and preparing orders for dispatch, using counterbalance forklifts, and supporting daily transport planning. Permanent, full-time position with 8.00am - 4.30pm hours.

You will contribute to efficient stock control, accurate order processing and safe warehouse operations while upholding our standards of teamwork and quality. A proactive, detail‑oriented mindset is required.

Qualifications

• Counterbalance forklift experience required.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Strong awareness of health and safety in a warehouse.
• Previous warehouse experience desirable.
• Understanding of plastic products advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Receive and check goods, report issues.
• Organise and rotate stock to keep the warehouse running.
• Pick, pack and prepare orders for dispatch, including labelling.
• Use counterbalance forklifts to move and load goods safely.
• Carry out stock checks to maintain accuracy.
• Keep the warehouse clean, tidy and compliant with safety standards.
• Support the Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor with daily transport planning and dispatch.
• Complete admin tasks such as printing orders, dispatch notes and filing.
• Ensure delivery notes and paperwork are stored correctly.

What you will be doing

Working as part of the Warehouse team, the Warehouse Operative plays an important role in making sure customer orders are picked and packed to a high standard. The aim is to get things right first time and meet our customer service excellence targets. The role also includes providing a quick and accurate picking service for our Production team, supporting the wider operations function, and helping us uphold the company’s mission, vision, and values.

You day to day responsibilities include: -

• Receiving and checking goods, reporting any issues.

• Experience operating Counterbalance trucks
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Strong awareness of Health & Safety practices within a warehouse
• Previous experience of warehouse understanding and its environment is desirable.
• Understanding of plastic products would be advantageous but not essential.
• Salary - £13.00 per hour depending on experience
